Subject: [Bismark-devel] The first atom build
Date: Thu, 07 Apr 2011 19:43:02 -0600	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <4D9E6826.4090700@taht.net> (raw)

I put the details on the first atom build up on the wiki, which includes
where the packages can be downloaded.

Using Young's config file and openwrt git head, the build was
successful, but is untested at present.

http://www.bufferbloat.net/projects/bismark/wiki/Atom

(the wndr3700 build is considerably further along and has been fairly
well tested so far)

As for the atom build, I note that most atoms are 64 bit capable and
this is a 32 bit build. I have no idea if this helps or hurts what is
basically a router, but I do note that 64 bit platforms are less well
tested as routers than 32 bit ones...

The remainder of the config file needs to be modified extensively to
have wireless support, and include the same features and packages as the
wndr3700, I asked sri to walk through it and fire off a new build. It
would be good to have pointers to more details as to the atom's
motherboard and configuration on the wiki.

Generic Notes:

If you have not put a ssh key up on your user of the wiki, please do so
if you wish to access the build machine directly that way, and let me
know so I can grant access. So far as I know everybody that has given me
a key can login to the main build account
(bismark@huchra.bufferbloat.net) as well as their own accounts.

All members of this project have wiki editing privs, so if there is a
procedure you can document or a bug you have to file, please do so.
