in poking into the details of the wndr3700v2, it appears to have an
integrated
rtl8366s switch.

http://realtek.info/pdf/rtl8366s_8366sr_datasheet_vpre-1.4_20071022.pdf

Among other things it has nearly a megabit for packet buffers, and support
for port mirroring in the hardware.

I was wondering several things:

0) How well supported are the cool features in this switch in Linux?

1) Could a qdisc gain access to the switches' internal tables and make
better decisions as to what to send to the switch?

2) Does port mirroring work? (This could be useful with external analysis of
ip streams from a separate box)
