magic. I turned off my DSL box's crappy QoS, applied tc-cake on my
internal router's ports, and added a bit of source-port DSCP tweaking
in nftables.
On the DSLReports speed test I get straight A's and no lag spikes
whatsoever. See for yourself:

(BTW if the ping times look a bit iffy… it's because my connection's
saturated by seeding a dozen torrents. I barely even know they're
