After taking some time off.. and... after a few bug fixes (of problems
introduced by me, sorry all), and much panic'd exploration of gcc 7.3
retpolines and spectre/meltdown later... it looks like we could,
indeed, try to get cake upstream again after net-next reopens in 2-3
weeks.
After catching up on my mail, the only thing that still looks shaky
was the hard_header_len controversy (?)

Yes, I need to refactor the packet length handling in general, especially with respect to the new ack-filter code which ends up referencing packet lemgths a lot.
