Hi,

been using tomato versions since shibby was in short pants.

saw the bio of dave taht and was motivated to try openwrt.

the install firmware and the update firmware are the same file.

please explain why there are two database entries to download the same file?

thanks.

doesn't inspire me to install it, makes me think that I don't want to risk
bricking a good working machine accepting the help of people who seem to
have had a lapse in my very first encounter with them.

Perhaps I'm interpreting this wrong. Waiting to hear.

Hi,

For some devices the install and upgrade images are the same, if that's what you're referring to from the openwrt wiki.

Keep in mind that the WiFi is not supported in OpenWrt due to the lack of open source drivers, so if you're using the WiFi on it, staying on Tomato is probably best.

Best Regards
Nils
