Bert Hubert noticed this interesting piece: "1.1.1.1 is a public DNS resolver, but unlike most DNS resolvers, we do not sell user data to advertisers."
Do they? Or is it a poke at Google?
It's from this piece:
"1.1.1.1: A fast and private way to browse the Internet. 1.1.1.1 is a public DNS resolver, but unlike most DNS resolvers, we do not sell user data to advertisers. Our implementation of 1.1.1.1 makes it the fastest resolver available, and we support DNS over HTTPS (DoH) which encrypts and secures consumers’ DNS requests."
Also, I'm not sure I trust them with not selling now, and not ever selling later. IPO means new decision makers and they love to change course for higher yields no matter what.
Regards,
Maciej
