Actually, this is a great relief to me (and, I imagine, the others on the list).

We really do believe in this stuff. We've seen it work. But each of us is enough of a scientist to believe that *we could be wrong*. (I suspect that's why you really got everyone's attention)

But, what a relief! Science Triumphs again! And now that we have a sound basis for understanding what was wrong, a) we have one more item for our troubleshooting questionnaire, and b) we can go back to feeling just a little bit smug :-)

Thanks for sticking with us.
