Subject: [Cerowrt-devel] revenge of the switches
Date: Thu, 9 Jul 2015 11:46:47 -0700 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <CAA93jw4cwteGT9LT7NBYD1FMoKebuUHrCJEEL+AA6U4WVdoB_g@mail.gmail.com> (raw)
I finally dug a 3700v4 out of a box... did a build (it and the 4300
are supported if you build for nand flash) -
only to discover to my dismay, that it too, had only one real ethernet
port hooked up and relied on the switch to distinguish between wan and
lan interfaces.
So software rate limiting does work...
http://pastebin.com/TktKtSZE
but any hope that such a device could actually take advantage of
things like hardware flow control from a dsl modem is gone....
