Is this over a 25/5 Internet connection? Because I wouldn't imagine that you would get any significant buffering on the wifi with that kind of Internet access speed. I regularily get hundreds of megabit/s over 802.11ac wifi.

Comcast cable, with ~150Mbps down and 12Mbps up.  here's a close-range result for comparison:
