[NNagain] state broadband offices

Since texas has been a focus, here is that broadband office, and many others.

I started this list in the hope that we could constructively engage
across professions, and try to propose ideas that made sense for
genuinely improving the internet. As of today... Many more (u)IXPs
seem like a huge win for humanity in general, and yet are seemingly
absent from the national agenda. So... ring up your broadband office,
use your linkedin, have a meeting, ask 'em to join this list for
constructive discussions?

The website above (broadband.io) has mostly been involved with BEAD,
but now as it is moving into more deployment phase. It has often been
not fun seeing the earnest young faces on the friday AMAs there, (I
did one) also trying to do the right things for our internet, through
a sea of lobbyists and incomplete technical information.

here is the best idea I've ever run into regarding getting artificial
network connectivity (as opposed to the inborn network we have and have
been programmed to ignore or had our pinneal glands poisoned) out to
everybody regardless of how few or many neighbors they have:

this went nowhere because the New World ODOR didn't want it to, as it was
only good for all of us and none of them.

am I imagining it or have you also noticed that people who send
incrementally changed large files (think graphic artists)  used to use
software to create  an executable file which would turn the last version
into the new version using a small fraction of the bandwidth?   And that
they now don't do it any more even though even with gigabit internet it's a
time saver?

I never met Sherwin,  I knew his son, he married my first girlfriend.  I
hadn't thought about her much during 30 years, then suddenly felt a need to
talk to her.  No contact with any connecting people either.  Turns out that
the instant I had this urge, she was breathing her last breaths.  Do you
see that as a coincidence?  We were on different continents.

Loon's ten years with backing from we don't know where doesn't compare well
with Sherwin's 50 years of constant success,  billion dollar receipts
nearly all plowed back into the business with no expense spared for taking
proper care of the employees.

For me,  the comparison ends with Loon basically cheating on those patents
you spoke of.

closed mind,  figures he knows it all and has seen it all.

And I can tell you that his attitude is based on the brainwashing he's
undergone which is completely invisible to him.

I make my living from my alternative network.  Have been doing so for 20
years by being a minimalist regarding my knowledge.

I find the study of how good folks get completely brainwashed by the New
World ODOR  to be more interesting.
