Does your router report that it has 128mb of RAM? i.e. from the
webinterface or from command line (i.e. free or /proc/memstat). I
think that I have tried the similar images with no success. In my case
it required the wndr3800 image, i.e.

This is weird. I think you should report this issue and try to
describe it as well as you can. This sounds as a bug. But I would
recommend to test this first with a newer image. Cerowrt moves pretty
fast forward and this could have been fixed already. You should check
also that there are not similar issues already reported. I tried to
look, but I didn't find any that fits your description.

Well well. I am no expert, but I would say that this might be useful
to add to the packages of Cerowrt (Feature request to the tracker). It
seems that Openwrt includes the package
(http://downloads.openwrt.org/snapshots/trunk/ar71xx/packages/wide-dhcpv6-client_20080615-7_ar71xx.ipk),
again I don't recommend using this package, even though I suspect that
it would work.

I have similar issues, I think that CeroWRT shows great promise, but I
break my router too often for it to be my main one. I have been
playing around with the thought of specifying a set of tests to
perform on the router. So we could see that we are going into the
right direction. I think that David is working on this but he is quite
busy :) and I think that there is a bug about it on the tracker, but I
didn't find it.

If you have a powerful machine (CPU power) and spare time, one
suggestion would be to build your own version of Cerowrt. Instructions
can be found at
http://www.bufferbloat.net/projects/cerowrt/wiki/Building_Cerowrt_on_your_own_machine
. If you are succesful with these instructions you could add
information to the bug about it http://www.bufferbloat.net/issues/282
. This way you could include the modeswitch and dhcp packages. If you
are not familiar with building Cero/OpenWRT you could find more
information from http://wiki.openwrt.org/doc/howto/build . Most
important information is that by using command make menuconfig you can
add and/or remove packages from the image and the packages listing.
(If you want to use the optional packages (those with M in the name
not those with *) you need to change the link in /etc/opkg.conf.
