I am hoping 2017 will be the year our technologies finally cross the
chasm and enter the mainstream, enabling better voice,
videoconferencing, web, and gaming experiences for everyone.

I'll be on the weekly Freeswitch Cluecon conference call, Wednesday,
Febuary 1st, at 10AM Pacific to talk about it a bit. Folks can
participate
via webrtc, sip, or regular telephony.

Warning! this is a high bandwidth, stereo sound enabled
videoconference - and as happy as I am with our wifi results of late,
a wired connection with at least a 5Mbit uplink and 20Mbit downlink is
preferred! Dialin details are at:

https://freeswitch.org/confluence/display/FREESWITCH/ClueCon+Weekly+Conference+call

I'll be doing my usual bits on our recent advances in speeding up
the Internet by eliminating lag, starting with some improvements in
WiFi, and moving onto the new sch_cake queue management
algorithms.

This tends to be a very chaotic, fun podcast to be on, and I hope to
get some time, also, to talk about the "jamaphone" prototype, and
whatever else comes up that people want to talk about. (if you'd like
the floor for something please let me know in advance)

With any luck, the webrtc session at least will be enabling QoS on
dscp AF41 using:

http://stackoverflow.com/questions/23619731/implementing-dscp-qos-in-webrtc

(which cake enables in its diffserv4 model)

I've had the best results thus far, using chrome on osx and linux....
