So as we march down towards *maybe* having a modestly debloated router ready for the Linux Wireless summit in Vancouver, august 15th, I'd let logos, t-shirts, and hats - classic stuff like that - for the project - slide overlong.

Jim did one up for bufferbloat a while back, ( http://www.cafepress.com/bufferbloat )

but CeroWrt could use a mark and logo of some kind too!

What we are going with is basically the "First Blanusa Snark", turned on it's side, 90 degrees.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blanu%C5%A1a_snarks

It's an interesting exercise in topology, as it looks like a complex network (and happens to incorporate part of the babel logo), and has other properties that like, being a circle, connecting everything, with (lots of lines in it that can look like letters if you are on the right drugs.)

And I'd wanted to color it in, in four colors, as a reference to the four color theorem...

After all that exercise in symbolism, I have to note that I have the artistic and color sense of a snail, and haven't got anywhere towards jazzing it up any! Similarly, lacking Mathematica or some math tool, I don't have the ability to blow it up into a resolution suitable for print.

So I was wondering, if somewhere out there there was someone with the math chops to get this out as a higher resolution image, and someone, or someones that could take a stab at it artistically.

It's important to me, anyway, that the properties of the object (proportions, lines, etc) stay exactly the same, but within those constraints, go wild! I'm not tied to the four color thing, either.

Would like suggestions/samples by thursday, if at all possible!

--
Dave Täht
SKYPE: davetaht
US Tel: 1-239-829-5608
http://the-edge.blogspot.com
