Legislative Day 3/28/23

WISPA is stepping up our advocacy in California, and we want you to join us!
On Tuesday, March 28, we will be holding our first annual Legislative
Day in Sacramento. This will be an opportunity for you to hear about
legislation that may affect your business, learn how to engage with
legislators to effectively educate them on issues relevant to your
businesses, and meet with the legislative offices that will shape
broadband policy this session.
The event will begin at 9:00 am on March 28 at the Hyatt Regency
Sacramento’s Capitol View Room. We will spend the morning giving you
the tools you’ll need to successfully advocate with the policymakers
we will meet with later in the day to discuss our policy concerns.
After lunch, we’ll walk over to the Legislature, give you a tour of
the building, and then divide into groups to meet with legislators and
staff to talk about the state of broadband in California and the role
we play in connectivity. We will wrap up by 5:00 pm.
Breakfast and lunch will be served, and there is no charge for this
event. However, registration is required: please click here to
register to attend. Your attendance will help demonstrate the vital
role WISPA members play in connecting Californians to the reliable,
high-speed broadband they need to work and play in the state.
If you have any questions or would like to talk about this event,
please contact Steven Schwerbel (sschwerbel at wispa.org or 202.819.4602)
or Mark Herr (mherr at corp.cal.net or 530.672.1078 x105).
