if you watch for sales, you can get fairly cheal 4k equipment. I have 27" 4k 
monitors and a 42" 4k tv and spent ~$200 each for them. That's not as cheap as 
1080p equipment is now, but it's not bad and you can easily spend more for 1080p 
equipment if you favor name brands
