So much conflated.

There's more spectrum for direct to cell, more power for the broadband service.

Note that antennas on devices that support the new spectrum are as rare as hens teeth and there's speculation SpaceX wants Apple to switch from Globalstar.

As for the extra power, it means faster upload and better bad weather performance. Closer means better performance for both uploads and downloads.

I haven't done the math but it could be as good as gigabit (down) speeds per cell using one beam.
