That is a very good, and now viral thread. The author agreed to look
into sqm-autorate at some point, but we both agree that kenya could
use a more local starlink downlink first. He also concludes that most
of his users only need 1mbit.
Africa, and for that matter, rural america, could use more IXPs and
CDNs. I have been watching brian's progress here eagerly, but as the
info for what he and jim and so many others are attempting to create
in Africa has been arriving daily piecemeal, I do not have a picture
for what that future will look like in a few short years, but it looks
good to me! There was a presentation or three on it at IETF that I
have not reviewed yet.
