The CFP calls for "novelty", where when it comes to space, reality triumphs, and there is little widely understood ground (space?) truth, to leverage as starting points, as yet, IMHO, and few of those in that part of the business willing or able to share. I do hope to see submissions from companies that have succeeded and are willing to share. In terms of looking further out, I see LEO as too limiting - in the context of the much larger and interesting problems of properly supporting the earth-moon and earth-mars corridors, and ultimately, better exploring the solar system. Perhaps one day a GTO or sun-sync conference would be ideal to have, and I would so love to have reports back from the 8 spacex "Transporter" missions to date. 100s of cubesats in those that far, far too few, know anything about! Over here, back in 2014, I tried to explain the importance of getting our space software more right, for that, in about 1 minute: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3DQWdL2Wu7M-8&t=3D900s Lastly, if there is any one point, that I am always making, and indeed, made in that talk, it is the need to have people at all layers of the network stack, communicating. I would hope that at least some folk, with more of an IEEE background, can be part of this conference.
