The proprietary cable is just cat6 twisted pair inside, running standard Ethernet. What I'm not certain of is whether the PoE is the same between units. My Dishy is round, so I can't test to confirm. I suspect it's essentially the same proprietary PoE setup, but don't have a source to confirm.
