Interesting story. Thanks for sharing. It seems the good ol' reboot is a 
form of resurrection that rebirths hardware back to an origin state. 
Maybe tell your sales guys, if you have any, that 30-40 hrs of uptime is 
quite a long time in muon years!

Muons have quite short lifetimes of about 2.2 μs at rest before they 
decay. However due to special relativity they have much longer lifetimes 
while travelling at high speeds. By slowing down these high speed muons, 
the muon decay constant at rest and the distribution of muon lifetimes 
was obtained.
