"Russian space firm Bureau 1440 launched 16 broadband Internet satellites
into orbit on March 23 as part of the government's Rassvet project, which
aims to develop a sovereign satellite Internet network comparable to
SpaceX's Starlink. The company, which is developing a low-Earth-orbit (LEO)
system for broadband data, said the satellites would serve as the
foundation of a network of 250 satellites by next year, and a total of 900
by 2034."
