[Starlink] Debugging connection through Starlink (POINTR)

It's not so bad, but it's unusual and very probably quite different from 
your client's situation. If your client's performance is impaired as a 
result of lack of bandwidth (large user base in cell or neighbourhood) 
or service drop-outs due to obstructions or failure to find a usable 
satellite with a teleport view, or if it's a result of the way Starlink 
manages fixed subscription bandwidth, then you wouldn't see this on a 
test with our system here.

The test site you're looking at has a higher satellite density overhead 
than we do (closer to 53rd parallel, which helps), but its position 
relative to gateway locations isn't quite as ideal as ours, and it has 
far more other users in the neighbourhood than we do, with quite a few 
cells at capacity. So, cumulatively, I'd expect slightly worse service 
there compared to here. You really want to try with someone in the area 
there, or you're in for a wild goose chase.

I remember years ago when WiFi in our lecture theatres was new, they'd 
put the access point in the now surplus projectionist's booth at the 
back. It would reach the lectern at the front, so those of us needing 
WiFi for teaching there could set up with connectivity. But then your 
class would enter, and before you knew it, there'd be a couple of dozen 
laptops and other WiFi-enabled devices closer to the access point, and 
poor me at the front would lose connectivity. Of course, any complaints 
to the powers that be would be investigated with lecture theatre empty, 
and deemed frivolous!
